EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) gathered more than 700 experts, artists and human rights NGO representatives as well as representatives of the European and international organisations at the Fundamental Rights Forum, held from 24th until 27th September 2018. The Forum’s goal was to address the challenges present in the time of fractured and polarised societies, in which human rights are being challenged by austerity, digital disruption, globalisation, a migration crisis and rising populism across Europe.

More than 250 thousands of citizens in Croatia do not have access to water pipeline, many could not afford it and part of them remain without water because they cannot pay the bill. These are some of the citizens’ problems facing water inaccessibility that was emphasised at the round table discussion “Human right to water - is it the time to protect it be protected by the Constitution”.

During a few-day study stay in Zagreb members of the Committee for Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions of the Senate's Upper House of the Czech Republic Parliament, accompanied by the Czech Ambassador in the Republic of Croatia Vladimir Zavázal, visited the Office of the Ombudswoman on 17th September 2018, in order to learn more about the protection of national minorities in the Republic of Croatia, with special focus on the Check minority.
